Khaita means - Harmony in Space

A FREE community event to promote a vibrant, diverse, and fun life by showcasing Tibet and Tibetan Culture through Khata Joyful Songs and Dance performance plus Tibetan Arts workshop with Damien Pascoe.

The Khaita Annual Festival's mission is to carry on the legacy and inspiration of Professor Namkhai Norbu (Chogyal Namkhai Norbu) by organizing and promoting various cultural activities related to the heritage of Chogyal Namkhai Norbu to support the individual and social evolution of human beings in harmony with its own environment.

The Khaita activities have been featured at other multicultural festivals on the Sunshine Coast but this is the second year that the Khaita Tibetan Festival has been held and sponsored by Sunshine Coast Council.

The festival provides the Sunshine Coast community with opportunities to participate in Tibetan Culture through Khaita Songs, Dance, and Tibetan Art. All activities introduced during the day are available all year round.

Topgyal Gontse is the organizer of the event on behalf of the International and Australian Dzogchen Community Namgyalgar, the Australian branch of the International Shang Shung Institute and Atiyoga Foundation.
